Energy Saving Initiative in the Building Sector - ESIB


Within ESIB project Union “Energy Efficiency Center Georgia” with support of various organizations has organized various events devoted to the Intelligent Energy Days (IEDs). The main aim of the events is to promote and support awareness rising on energy saving initiatives in buildings. Mentioned project is implemented with financial support of EU Commission.

Event 1: “Save Energy - It is Easy” – Event at Charity House “Catharsis”

In December, 2011 “EEC Georgia” with partnership of the Local representative office of “OSRAM” and LTD “AMBOLI” organized the awareness rising event “Save Energy – It’s Easy” within the project “Energy Saving Initiative in the Building Sector in Eastern Europe and the Central Asian Countries” financed by Euro Commission.

Mentioned action was charity action promoted quality lighting systems – CFL conducted in International Humanitarian Organization “Catharsis”. In “Catharsis” House lives 12 elder, low income citizens but about 400 low income elders are visiting organization daily for charity diner.

   

 

Event 2: ‘Intelligent Energy Day’ in Rustavi Municipality

In February, 2012 EECG with partnership of self-governing Rustavi City organized the awareness rising event “Let’s Save Energy” through the organization of Intelligent Energy Days in Rustavi City within the project “Energy Saving Initiative in the Building Sector in Eastern Europe and the Central Asian Countries” financed by Euro Commission. Mentioned event had non-formal educational character which includes seminars at 5 public schools and replacement of bulbs at kindergarten #1.

     

 

 

Event 3: Let’s Save Energy – ‘Intelligent Energy Days’ for ethnic groups living in Georgia

In April, 2012 EECG with cooperation of Centres for Civic Engagement organized Intelligent Energy Days in Marneuli and Akhaltsikhe towns within the project “Energy Saving Initiative in the Building Sector in Eastern Europe and the Central Asian Countries” financed by Euro Commission.

Mentioned event had non-formal educational character which includes Presentation of ESIB project and energy saving measures in buildings; Provision of pre energy audit and introduction of EE skills and hints and Demonstration of Luc Besson’s & Yann-Arthus-Bertrand’s film “HOME".

 
     

 

 

Event 4: Young Artists for ‘Intelligent Energy Day’”

On 18 May, 2012 at Hotel “Holiday Inn Tbilisi” was arranged exhibition event ‘Intelligent/Sustainable Energy Day’ organized within projects: ‘Energy Bus’ and ‘ESIB’. On the exhibition were presented drawings concerning renewable energy and energy efficiency issues from various educational institutions (public and private schools) from various regions of Georgia including art schools. The attended audience of exhibition was quite representative; along with pupils, teachers and its parents attended representatives of various governmental, non-governmental, and international organizations During the event Mr. Michel Jambou, project manager of Delegation of the European Commission to Georgia announced the winners of best category drawings devoted to energy saving initiatives in buildings within ESIB project.
