WP-2 Foresight and Technologies for Cleaner Fossil Fuels
Region covered - EU, Newly Associated Countries, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Israel.
Technology covered - Fossil Fuels
Objectives
To recollect the information contained in foresight studies realised in ten last years that had topics related with cleaner fossil fuels, to detect common issues and analyse the different points of view about developments expected.
To identify what technologies can have more probabilities to play an important impact on industry, economy, society and its role in an energy sustainable future.

Milestones and expected results
Recommendation coming out of this study can be used to influence the future thinking of the UE, improved collaboration between partners and creation of networks.
The objective now would be to establish some kind of order of priority for the selection of the most important technologies for cleaner fossil fuel, or those that should be the subject of collaboration projects of immediate interest. In short, the aim is to select from all the technologies of interest to Industry those that will require the most research work or dedicate effort to be considered in research programs.
