First Programme in Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency in Industry, Tbilisi

The first programme was started in Tbilisi in June and ending in November 2003. 16 managers and engineers from 7 different companies participated in the programme:

1. Bread Factory № 1

2. Bread Factory № 4

3. Mill Factory «Progress»

4. Milk Factory «Sante Walsh Products»

5. Non -Alcoholic Drinks Factory “Oasis”

6. TbilWine

7. Electroautomat

The main outcome of the programme is summarised in the table below, both identified potential and achieved results as per November 2003 (at the end of the programme) and per November 2005:

(*) A variety of raw material savings such as glass, imported raw materials etc. were identified and partially achieved. These savings are included in the economical effect.
