COVENANT OF MAYORS
The Covenant of Mayors is the mainstream European movement involving local and regional authorities, voluntarily committing to increasing energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources on their territories. By their commitment, Covenant signatories aim to meet and exceed the European Union 20% CO2 reduction objective by 2020.

Since 2014 EEC Georgia is a supporter of Covenant of Mayors (Covenant Supporter). Covenant supporters from Georgia also are the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) and NGO Caucasus Network for Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions.
Covenant National Coordinators in Georgia are the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
